Honeymoon Highlights
Our honeymoon took us to Europe where we had such incredible adventures! We first stopped in Vienna, Austria to legally register our marriage which was witnessed by Erika's cousins who came down from Germany! We then traveled to Hungary, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Slovenia, and Germany! We are loving married life as husband and wife and are so thankful for your love and support! :)

Hollow ruins now a memorial site - along the way to Mostar. The scars of war are ever-present as we drove through Bosnia but were contrasted with the incredible hospitality of the people.

Many of the sights were like stepping back into time - the old-style cars and farming equipment were very neat and we enjoyed seeing some of the vestiges from a different era. Erika was especially enjoying the opportunity to see history up-close.

One of the friendly street-dogs of Mostar in Bosnia & Herzegovina. The locals told us the homeless dogs and cats are vaccinated and spayed/neutered by the local government and left to be free. They were all very friendly and sweet and we quite liked interacting with them.

View of the Stari Most bridge in Mostar at night. The bridge was commissioned by the Ottoman ruler Suleiman the Magnificent in 1557. It was destroyed in the Yugoslav war in 1993 but was rebuilt by 2006.

Visiting the Tekija Blagaj monastery, a 15th century Dervish House in Bosnia & Herzegovina. No pictures were allowed of the actual monastery but it was well preserved and is still in use today for prayer. Note - we had some pomegranate juice from a local vendor before entering the monastery...the pomegranates are so fresh and the juice was the best we've ever had!
